Development Direction
(1) The focus of the development direction of this department will not only be the teaching of professional medical knowledge, but also strengthen the education of humanities, society, law and ethics.
 (2) Cultivate medical professionals with clinical and research capabilities in Western medicine, high humanistic qualities and innovative spirit.
 (3) Strategic alliance with E-Da Hospital, E-Da Cancer Treatment Hospital, E-Da Chang Hospital, which is a medical business unit of Yi-Lian Group, and with the university’s life sciences and medical engineering related institutes to establish a strong cross-domain research team , conduct scientific evaluation and research on various problems faced by modern medicine, so that medical development can be improved through scientific research and enhance Taiwan's medical standards.
 (4) Establish a platform and channel for clinicians to conduct research and academic discussions.

Way out for graduation

This department cultivates diversified students. After graduation, in addition to applying for the National Examination for Western Medicine and serving as front-line clinicians to contribute what they have learned, they can also apply for master's and doctoral programs at domestic and foreign universities to continue their studies and learn more advanced Western medicine knowledge.
